DIY Memory Verse Flash Cards

I can’t stress enough the value of memorizing bible verses. You’ve probably heard your fair share of teaching and preaching on this. But one thing I can vouch for, is the fact that when you actually memorize the verse instead of knowing them peripherally, is the power and influence it has over your decisions and situations. You repeat them in your the quiet of your heart and the Spirit works in you.

Today, I’m going to be sharing a fun and easy way you can memorize the verses. I had written a 31 day series on the 31 Bible Verses you should know by heart. Feel free to check that out. Here I’m going to share a quick DIY instructions on how to make memory verse flash cards so you can memorize the verses with ease and fun.

These flash cards can be used in your regular family time or quiet time. However, it works better if you have a memory verse partner, so be sure you include someone in this challenge. Make sure you memorize one verse a week. Different people have different capacity in memorizing. But one verse a week strategy really helps because it lets the verse sink deep. Keep repeating all the verses every time you meet. Once you have a sizable number of verses memorized, you can start playing the flash card game!

Things you will need:

  • Scrapbook Paper (12″ x 12″)
  • Print out a paper with the memory verses (You might want to print the verse and reference separately)
  • Card Holder
  • Glue

  • Cut the Scrap book paper into small cards, each measuring 3″ x 4″.
  • Cut the verses from the printable along the lines.
  • Glue the printed verses on one side of the scrap book paper and glue the reference on the other side.
  • Display on a card holder.

I enjoy learning from God’s word, it amazes me, the wisdom and treasures of God and the way He reveals them to me day after day in a profound manner. In this space I share with you what I’ve learnt through my time with the Word. I earnestly believe that learning alone isn’t sufficient but walking in the word is crucial in a believer’s life. As much as I desire to walk in the word, it’s not always easy. My hope is to encourage you, my dear friend, in your walk with God with words that He has used to strengthen my own walk with Him.
