Memory Verse Monday – Week 23 – FUTURE

As Christians, when we hear the word FUTURE, what does that speak in our hearts? Fear and uncertainty or Peace and Hope? I hope it’s the latter. Because through Christ Jesus’ love and grace, God has established this beautiful Future for us in eternity.

When we look forward and gaze into the future, it’s really two things. One is an immediate future, toiling and passing through in this momentous world. The other is eternity, forever and ever with our God and Creator.

In both sense of the word Future, for us, there is Hope. God’s promises and presence in this world, provide strength to wade through the future life here on earth. His grace and mercy has purchased us a place in eternity where we can spend the rest of our Future with Him.

The question goes back to what is the word FUTURE speaking to your heart? Are you setting your mind on the things above and living a hope filled life? Not worrying or fearing the things on the earth? Remember the following verse when anxiety hits you next time!

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2

Speaking of promises and hope and future, isn’t the Rainbow a wonderful reminder of God’s promise? I’m just thrilled beyond words when I see one!

I enjoy learning from God’s word, it amazes me, the wisdom and treasures of God and the way He reveals them to me day after day in a profound manner. In this space I share with you what I’ve learnt through my time with the Word. I earnestly believe that learning alone isn’t sufficient but walking in the word is crucial in a believer’s life. As much as I desire to walk in the word, it’s not always easy. My hope is to encourage you, my dear friend, in your walk with God with words that He has used to strengthen my own walk with Him.
