Memory Verse Monday – Week 29

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

This verse is filled with so much hope. It’s a known fact that things will work out well for God’s children, says Paul, when he uses the word “and we know”. God loves us so much that He gave us His only son. Won’t He give us everything else?

This doesn’t mean that there will be no trials in our life, that nothing bad will ever happen. On the contrary, when trials come, He will be with us and see us through. This verse rather talks about the ultimate good. God has the ultimate good of us in mind when He allows certain things in our lives.

Remember what Joseph told his brothers when they feared he would hurt them for treating him badly. “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” (Genesis 50:20) “But God” is such a promising phrase. God always, always work for the good of His children. He loves us too much to let us suffer alone. Although we don’t see the good in it, remember that He has purposed it for good.

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. Ecclesiastes 8:12

I enjoy learning from God’s word, it amazes me, the wisdom and treasures of God and the way He reveals them to me day after day in a profound manner. In this space I share with you what I’ve learnt through my time with the Word. I earnestly believe that learning alone isn’t sufficient but walking in the word is crucial in a believer’s life. As much as I desire to walk in the word, it’s not always easy. My hope is to encourage you, my dear friend, in your walk with God with words that He has used to strengthen my own walk with Him.
