Memory Verse Monday – Week 36

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

This verse appears right at the end of a passage titled “Philippian Generosity”. Philippians had done well in sharing in Paul’s distress. (v 14) Paul says that no church had shared with him like the Philippian church. “For even in Thessalonica, you sent aid once and again for my necessities.” (Philippians 4:16)

The context of this verse is a testament to the generosity and benevolence of the church in Philippi. This verse, Philippians 4:19 however, is an evidence of the richness of our God. Paul has been blessed by the gesture of Philippians that he invokes the blessing of his heavenly Father on them.

God blesses those who bless others and in turn, they are called to use those blessings for every good work. “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

I enjoy learning from God’s word, it amazes me, the wisdom and treasures of God and the way He reveals them to me day after day in a profound manner. In this space I share with you what I’ve learnt through my time with the Word. I earnestly believe that learning alone isn’t sufficient but walking in the word is crucial in a believer’s life. As much as I desire to walk in the word, it’s not always easy. My hope is to encourage you, my dear friend, in your walk with God with words that He has used to strengthen my own walk with Him.
