Memory Verse Monday – Week 46

Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 40:28

This verse appears in a chapter that talks about God and His many works and wonders. It has a little bit of prophesy of Christ’s life on earth, eternity of God, sovereignty of God, and how He is incomparable.

Isaiah, asks a couple of rhetorical questions here to emphasize the eternal and divine nature of God. “Have you not known? Have you not heard?”

In a manner of answering his own questions, Isaiah reminds them of their Lord God and who He is. He is an everlasting God. This he explains by highlighting the frailty of man. “All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades,” (v 6-7)

God is the Creator. Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power;” (v26)

In an age where information is power and every form data is searchable, the fact still holds that “His understanding is unsearchable”.

I enjoy learning from God’s word, it amazes me, the wisdom and treasures of God and the way He reveals them to me day after day in a profound manner. In this space I share with you what I’ve learnt through my time with the Word. I earnestly believe that learning alone isn’t sufficient but walking in the word is crucial in a believer’s life. As much as I desire to walk in the word, it’s not always easy. My hope is to encourage you, my dear friend, in your walk with God with words that He has used to strengthen my own walk with Him.
