Memory Verse Monday – Week 52

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

This verse appears at the end of Psalm 19 as a request and a plea to God. As David talks about the judgments of God being true and righteous, comparing them to gold and honey, he also emphasizes on keeping them, meditating them and obeying them. He considers his meditation on the law of the Lord, a sacrifice. So he prays that it will be acceptable, just like how God would accept any sacrificial offering.

This should be your prayer also, every time you study the word of God. We should surrender back to Him every thought and meditation, so He could bless it make it fruitful in our lives.

I enjoy learning from God’s word, it amazes me, the wisdom and treasures of God and the way He reveals them to me day after day in a profound manner. In this space I share with you what I’ve learnt through my time with the Word. I earnestly believe that learning alone isn’t sufficient but walking in the word is crucial in a believer’s life. As much as I desire to walk in the word, it’s not always easy. My hope is to encourage you, my dear friend, in your walk with God with words that He has used to strengthen my own walk with Him.
